AG. DIMITRIOS: -Excavation of a Mycenaean cemetery.
ATHOS: -Monastic state founded in 963 by the monk Athanasius. It comprises 20 large monasteries.
AEANE: -Archaeological site: houses and public buildings. Late Bronze age, archaic and classical cemeteries. Temporary exhibition of finds.
AMPHIPOLIS:
-The Lion of Amphipolis (4th cent. B.C.)
-Archaeological site: city wall, gymnasium, sanctuaries, cemetery. Early Christian basilicas.
VERGINA (anc. Aegae): -Cemetery of tumuli (1000-700 B.C.), royal tombs, palace, theatre, temple of Euclia.

DION:
-Archaeological site: sanctuary of Demeter, sanctuary of Isis, two theatres, city wall, villa of Dionysus, villa, thermae, Macedonian tombs, cemetery of tumuli, early Christian basilicas.
-Archaeological Museum: finds from Dion and the rest of the prefecture of Pieria.
THASOS:
-Archaeological site: city wall, ancient harbour, forum, theatre, acropolis, temple of Athena Polias, sanctuary of Pan.
-Archaeological Museum : finds from the excavations on Thasos.
THERMI: -Excavation of an archaic cemetery.
IERISSOS: -Excavation of a large cemetery of the archaic and classicai periods.
KAVALA (anc. Neapolis):
-Ruins of the Byzantine castle, 16th c. aqueduct.
-Archaeological Museum: finds from Kavala, Amphipolis, Drama and other places.
KALAMOTO: -Extensive archaeological site.
KALLITHEA: -Temple of Ammon Zeus (4th c. B.C.), sanctuary of Dionysus and the Nymphs.

MENDI: -Excavation of settlement and cemetery (7th-5th cent. B.C.)

OSSA: -Excavation of Hellenistic buildings.

-Archaeological site: luxurious houses with large rooms, peristyles and mosaic floors.
-On the hill the royal palace.
-Archaeological Museum with finds from the excavations.
PETRALONA: -Cave. The skull of a prehistoric man was found here and dated to between 700,000 and 200,000 B.C.

Panteleimon (14th cent.), Vlatadon Monastery (14th cent.), St Nicholas of the Orphanos (14th cent.).
