The Embassy of Mexico has the pleasure to inform you of the International Student Energy Summit 2017 (SES), which will take place from June 13th to 18th 2017, in the city of Mérida, in Yucatán, Mexico.
The SES is a global forum that focuses on sustainable resource management and the role that students will play in defining the future of energy development. It targets international, multidisciplinary post-secondary students in undergraduate and graduate studies interested in energy.
The Summit occurs every two years at academic institutions around the world. The internationally recognized event has brought high profile energy leaders such as Richard Jones (Executive Director of the International Energy Agency), and Sri Mulyani (Managing Director and CEO of the World Bank) among hundreds of other speakers. The latest edition brought together over 650 students from more than 100 countries.
The participants have the potential to collectively transform the world as we know it today, to transition it to a sustainable one, to create the energy technologies, the international treaties, the national policies, the companies that will take us there. They will be selected to come to SES 2017 and during four days will be presented with the tremendous opportunity of being inspired and enhanced into becoming leaders of the field.
